The Phillies travel to San Diego to take on the Padres. Both teams playing decent lately. The Padres are 3 - 3 in their last 6 homes games. The Pads will finish out the season with a different look as they've seemingly traded away the entire team they had on opening day. Friedrich pitched well his last time out and is likely finishing out the season in tryout mode for a spot on next years team. He's faced some tough lineups this year but should be good to go against a meager Phillies lineup.
Jeremy Hellickson is the starter for the Phillies. The Phils were hoping to trade their ace but no takers, most likely because of his hand injury. Hellickson's last two starts he's pitched 71 and 91 pitches. We think the injury is more serious than initially thought. The Phillies coming off back to back extra innings games should lose 5 of 6 games on this upcoming West Coast road trip.
